A privately owned company incorporated by two gentlemen who had many years experience in the heavy equipment material handling industry prior to Arva Industries Inc. inception.
Arva Industries Inc. principals recognized the need for niche specialty equipment relating to the construction/industrial, military, marine, hydro electric and mining markets. The first project was a Tower Lifter for Ontario Hydro. What made this machine unique was its ability to lift hydro towers live add extension legs to the towers reducing/eliminating line discharge into the earth. This solution saved the utility company $1,000,000.00 per day in lost revenue. Existing alternative solutions would have cost Ontario Hydro over $10,000,000.00. This innovative idea caught the attention of Pacific Gas and Electric in California which resulted in yet another specialized application to accommodate the unique conditions found in the vineyards of California.
It wasn't long after this feat that other industries came to ARVA with their problems. The ARVA staff took each and every challenge personally and found cost effective solutions in a timely fashion. Today you'll find ARVA equipment at work for the Department of National Defense, Canadian Coast Guard, US Air Force, US Military, Mining (Mosaic, Potash Corp of Saskatchewan, Canadian Salt, Codelco), Nuclear Power Facilities, the Boston Big Dig Project and Toronto Transit Commission to name a few.
Today ARVA is located in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada and has over 40,000 square feet of manufacturing space, which includes facilities for sandblasting and painting. The companies quality control inspection complies with MQS (Military Quality Control), AQP4. Very few companies worldwide have this recognition and even fewer outside the United States Military Industrial Complex do so.
